1. Make Sure iMessage is Enabled
It’s possible that you mistakenly disabled iMessage, or that someone else who has access to your iPhone did.
Make sure that iMessage is activated (Green) under Settings > Messages and that your phone number is listed next to Send & Receive.

2. Check iMessage Server Status
IMessage issues can occasionally be brought on by a brief outage of Apple servers. Visit Apple’s System Status page and look at the iMessage entry to make sure.
If there is an issue, an error notice and a red dot will appear next to the iMessage entry.
3. Restart iPhone
