What Are the Standard iMessage Colors?

How to Change iMessage Color Using the Color Text Bubbles App

1. Download and install the Color Text Bubbles in iMessage app.
2. Launch the Messages app.
3. Click on an existing conversation or click the New Message icon to start a new chat.
   
4. Tap and hold on the row of apps just above the keyboard.
   
5. Still touching the screen, swipe to the left until you see the Color Text Bubble app.
   
6. Tap on this app, and a list of bubble styles will appear.
   
7. You can choose one of the preset styles and messages or tap on Type Custom Message to create your own.
   
8. If you don t see the Type Custom Message button, try tapping in the space where it is supposed to appear.
9. Type in your custom text.
   
10. Tap the Bubble Color icon.
    
11. Choose the color for your bubble. Free users have 12 color and 12 grayscale options.
    
12. Tap Send.
    
13. You may see an ad or an offer to upgrade. Wait a short while and then click the X to close an ad or Later to close the upgrade offer.
    
14. Tap the Send arrow.
    
15. Your custom color text bubble is now sent.
    

How to Make iMessage Bubbles a Darker Blue

There are a few ways to convey messages other than the normal three colours even though there is currently no native mechanism to change these colours.

Using an app is the best way to alter the colour of your iMessage bubbles.
